Slim LED Projectors

Slim LED projectors are comfortable to carry and convenient for people on the move because they are lightweight and small.

Most projectors available in the market use mercury-based light source to get 2000 o more lumens which is harmful for the environment and contain hazardous toxic materials.

New light source technologies are coming into the  market like led and and laser led combination which increase lamp life by 10 times and use a lot less electricity.

Projectors nowadays have many uses like in education market, sports bar, restaurants, gamers, business presentation and a lot more uses.

Casio has just announced Green Slim series slimline projectors which is a technology innovation and does away with those nasty mercury based light bulbs and substitutes them with a combination of LED, laser and fluorescent illumination. And unlike those LED  projectors, this is a serious projector, pumping out a whopping peak brightness of 3000 lumens.

Pico LED Projectors

Pico projectors are tiniest in the market and most of them use  LED (light emitting diodes) as light source. These micro projectors are really lightweight (under one pound) and small (palm size) but only produce 5 -25 lumens which is actually dim , but adequate to bring about a acceptable looking image in a dark room and  do a nice in a fully darkened room.

LED projector engines are very small and they’ll fit inside just about any electronic device so do not be surprise if you see soon LED projectors integrated in cell phones, laptops and digital cameras. Below is photo of the 3M led projector engine

LED projector engines are so small that they can fit inside phones, cameras, and even pens

Another feature, most pico projectors  have rechargeable batteries. As a rule they last about an hour per charge so forget your two hour plus typical movie, without a extra battery  or AC adapter .
